BakX works like uber for bakkies and trucks. We are a peer-to-peer platform. BakX do the marketing for you, charge the customer for the services and sent load details to nearby service providers. After completing the load, driver get paid directly by the customer and pays 10% of the total (final) amount to BakX.

In order to became a BakX driver you are required to have the following;

1. South African ID or passport
2. South African driver’s license with PrDP
3. South African bank account
4. Reside in Gauteng, South Africa
5. Have a clean criminal record
6. R50 Joining fee (to be added to your app wallet)
7. Have at least one of the following vehicles;
   1. Mini-Bakkie (e.g Nissan NP200)
   2. 1 ton Bakkie (e.g Toyota hilux)
   3. Half truck ( e.g Hyundai H100)
   4. 4 Ton Truck (e.g Isuzu NPR)
   5. 8 ton Truck (e.g Hino 15-257)

BakX Driver app is currently available for Android devices only. Huawei devices without Google play services are currently not supported.

• 2. Sign up

Open the app and complete the sign up process.

• 3. Upload documents

Upload all the required documents through the app.

• 4. Add your bank card

After verifying your documents we will sent you a link via email, open the link and follow the prompts. You will be asked for your billing address and card details. A fee of fifty rand (R50) will be charged during the card authorization. This amount will be added to your BakX driver app wallet.

After completing the steps above your account will then be activated

You may receive loads via BakX driver app/ web portal or via Whatsapp. You need to be active on the Whatsapp platform. You maybe added to our BakX Whatsapp group.

What is Quote Request?

This is our new type of request (starting from version v1.0.9) that allows customers and service providers to negotiate prices directly. When posting a Quote request, customers are not charged by BakX, instead they are shown a list of nearby service providers with their contact details. Learn more here

1. BakX loads are not free, a 10% fee will be charged on every booking you accept.
2. BakX works as prepaid, meaning you should have our commission readily available in your Driver app wallet before you accept a load
3. You need to pay any outstanding fees you may have within 24 hours of completing a load.
4. If you don’t pay your fees within the required period, BakX reserves the right to charge your card on file. If the charge is unsuccessful we may suspend your account.
5. You can’t add 2 vehicles of the same size to your account.
6. You can add multiple vehicles of different sizes to your account. To do this you will be required to contact us for assistance.
7. You can accept loads only when you are 100% sure that you will complete them.
8. For bookings, you are not allowed to charge customers any additional price on top of the quoted price by BakX.
9. BakX is available for owner drivers only.
10. You aren’t allowed to accept loads on behalf of somebody else either they are registered on the platform or not.
