Transport the goods to the drop-off location, offload carefully, complete the trip in BakX, and receive payment from the customer.
How BakX works
BakX is a transport platform that connects customers with nearby drivers and transport providers. Customers submit bookings through BakX and the relevant load details are made available to suitable providers. For standard bookings, the customer pays the driver directly after the work is completed and BakX charges 10% of the final booking amount.
Driver requirements
Before registering, make sure you meet the driver requirements and have an acceptable vehicle.

- South African driver's license with PrDP
- South African bank account
- Reside in Gauteng, South Africa
- Have a clean criminal record
- R50 joining fee, added to your app wallet

How do I receive loads or jobs?
You may receive work through the BakX Driver app, driver web portal, or WhatsApp. You need to remain active on the relevant platform and may also be added to the BakX WhatsApp group.
What is a Quote Request?
Quote Request allows customers and transport providers to negotiate pricing directly. Customers can post a request and view nearby providers with contact details. The driver and customer can then discuss the price and transport arrangements directly.
Before accepting your first job
These rules are important for keeping your BakX account in good standing.
- BakX loads are not free. A 10% fee is charged on every standard booking you accept.
- BakX operates on a prepaid basis, so you should have sufficient BakX commission available in your Driver app wallet before accepting a load.
- Outstanding fees must be paid within 24 hours after completing a load.
- If outstanding fees are not paid within the required period, BakX reserves the right to charge the card on file. If the payment is unsuccessful, your account may be suspended.
- You cannot add two vehicles of the same size to one account.
- You can add multiple vehicles when they are different sizes.
- Only accept a booking when you are confident that you can complete it.
- For standard bookings, you may not charge the customer an additional amount above the price quoted by BakX.
- BakX is currently available to owner-drivers only.
- You may not accept jobs on behalf of another person, whether that person is registered on BakX or not.

Yes. You can work when you are available.
You get paid directly by the client using cash or Immediate EFT.
For standard bookings, you only pay for finished trips. BakX normally charges 10%. BakX is prepaid, so you should have funds in your app wallet before accepting booking requests or receiving Quote Request leads.
For Quote Requests, you only pay for the leads you receive. You can activate or deactivate Quote Requests in your account settings. Read more about how BakX Quote Requests work .
Single cab bakkies are preferred, especially without a canopy. Double cabs are not accepted. Acceptable categories include mini-bakkies, 1 ton vehicles, 1.5 ton vehicles, drop-side trucks, and closed body trucks such as 4 ton and 8 ton trucks.
It is the driver's responsibility to bring assistants if they are required for the trip. The driver pays assistants from the trip amount.
Handle the customer's goods with care, respect clients, communicate clearly, and arrive at the pickup location on time.
All documents go through manual verification. Approval may take longer than usual when BakX is receiving a high volume of registrations.
